KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines — Two radio reporters here surrendered to the police after a court issued a warrant for their arrest on charges of using pornographic images of minors in their news page on Facebook.

According to reports of the Cotabato Provincial Police Office and Police Regional Office 12, Brigada News FM station manager Eva Molina and reporter Robert Charles Encio surrendered to the police in nearby Makilala town when they learned of the warrant.

The parents of two minors – a boy and a girl – filed complaints related to pornography and voyeurism against Molina and Encio. They alleged that the two displayed sexually explicit photos of the minors on Facebook last month.

The post sparked public outrage and condemnation from Kidapawan Mayor Joseph Evangelista, a child-welfare advocate.

Both suspects are out on bail.
