P3.06 million shabu seized in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines — Police seized methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P3.06 million in two operations in Taguig on Wednesday.

In Barangay Ususan, police confiscated 400 grams of shabu valued at P2.72 million from Elizabeth Villanueva, 26, and Clarita Corpuz, 58.

The drugs were packed in a Chinese plastic bag labeled Guanyinwang, a brand of tea.

Police recovered 50 grams of shabu from Michael Gardon, 38, in a sting in Barangay San Miguel.

Criminal charges of drug trafficking are being prepared against the three suspects.
