MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines yesterday denied reports that top AFP generals walked out during a command conference attended by President Marcos at Camp Aguinaldo on July 4.
“That’s fake news,” AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said at a press briefing.
“I was there personally. There was nothing of that sort that happened. It was a professional exchange of ideas and discussions,” she added.
During the conference, AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner briefed Marcos on the internal and external security threats the country is facing.
