Makati’s most wanted falls

MANILA, Philippines — A woman tagged as Makati’s most wanted person was arrested in Cabuyao City, Laguna on Friday, according to the Southern Police District (SPD).

In a report, the SPD said the suspect, identified only as Aireen, was arrested in Barangay Marinig at around 1 p.m.

According to the SPD, the suspect was wanted for 34 counts of qualified theft through falsification of commercial documents and 42 counts of qualified theft under Revised Penal Code Article 310.

She was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Eugene Conti Paras of Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 58 issued on Dec. 1, 2023.

The judge set bail at P2.5 million.

Aireen is being held at the custodial facility of the Makati police.
