MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental yesterday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Phivolcs said the quake occurred at 8:50 a.m. and its epicenter was located 293 kilometers south of Sarangani Island in Sarangani town.
State seismologists said no damage to property or aftershocks were expected from the quake.
Meanwhile, another magnitude 3.9 temblor rocked the province of Antique before dawn yesterday.
The quake occurred at 1:27 a.m. and its epicenter was located four kilometers south of Patnongon town.
Both quakes were tectonic in origin.
