ANGELES CITY, Philippines – The city government of Angeles in Pampanga yesterday fumigated 55 public schools to protect students and teachers from dengue.

The anti-dengue measure is part of the activities of Brigada Eskwela, in preparation for the opening of classes on July 29.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin directed the city’s anti-dengue task force to ensure that students and teachers are safe from the mosquito-borne disease.

The activity was supervised by city executive assistant Reina Manuel in coordination with Irish Bonus-Llego, chief of the Angeles City economic development investment promotions office.

The Angeles City Schools Division, headed by Edgard Domingo, thanked Lazatin for looking after the welfare of students and educators.

Fumigation is among priorities of the city government to prevent the spread of dengue.
