Special holiday in Pasig today

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has declared July 2 a special non-working day in Pasig to allow its residents to celebrate the city’s founding anniversary.

The declaration is contained in Proclamation No. 612 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 29.

Pasig marks today its 451st founding anniversary.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of Pasig be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation read.
