Go opens Super Health Center in Alabel, Sarangani
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go on Friday led the inauguration of a new Super Health Center in Alabel, Sarangani, marking a milestone in his ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility nationwide as chairman of the Senate committee on health.
In his speech, Go expressed joy and satisfaction over the establishment of the Super Health Center in Barangay Alegria, highlighting its critical role in serving the community of Alabel.
The health facility will offer a wide range of services including database management, out-patient, birthing, isolation, diagnostics, pharmacy and ambulatory surgical unit.
Other available services are eye, ear, nose and throat treatment, oncology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and telemedicine, wherein remote diagnosis and treatment of patients will be done.
Go said the initiative aligns with his advocacy to bring government services closer to the people, particularly those in remote areas where access to healthcare services is limited.
He acknowledged medical frontliners present at the event and urged them to continue providing health services to communities.
Go recognized the barangay health workers and gave them grocery packs. He assured them of continued support, saying that enhancing the country’s health sector remains a priority for him.
Before ending his speech, Go thanked Cong. Steve Solon, Gov. Rogelio Pacquiao, Mayor Vic Paul Salarda and Vice Mayor Lente Salway Jr. for serving their constituents.
With the support of fellow lawmakers, local government units and the Department of Health, Go said funds were allocated for the construction of more than 700 Super Health Centers nationwide, including six in Sarangani.
He reminded residents of the importance of maintaining their health, saying it is their most valuable asset.
