MANILA, Philippines — The water level in Angat Dam in Bulacan has improved by 35 centimeters following heavy downpours in the past few days.
From the previous level of 175.55 meters, Angat’s elevation increased to 175.90 yesterday.
The figure was 34.10 meters below the dam’s normal high water level of 210 and lower by 4.10 meters than its minimum operating level of 180.
Aside from Angat, the water level in four dams in Luzon also improved.
La Mesa Dam in Quezon City increased by six centimeters after it went up to 76.88 from 76.82 meters.
Ambuklao in Benguet improved by 61 centimeters or to 744.15 meters from its previous level of 743.84.
Pantabangan in Nueva Ecija was up by eight centimeters, from 177.84 meters to 177.92.
Caliraya Dam in Laguna improved by 22 centimeters from its previous level of 286.4 meters.
