MANILA, Philippines — Two persons died while seven others were injured in separate vehicular accidents that occurred in Pangasinan and Olongapo on Wednesday.
Jinky Nafura, 42, died at the scene of the accident that occurred in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
Rushed to the Bolinao Community Hospital for treatment of injuries were truck driver Ian Christopher Quila, 37; Christian Cabares, 23; Romulo Espiritu, 33; Jason Sagsagat, 36, and Arnold Castil, 22.
Nafura and her companions were traveling in Barangay Catuday when the truck crashed into a rock formation before rolling over. She was reportedly thrown off and hit by the truck.
In Olongapo, tricycle driver Ariel Aguirre, 41, and his passenger, Jesusa Marie Jimenez, 37, were traveling in Barangay Bajac-Bajac when they collided with a car at the intersection of 18th and El Cano streets.
Aguirre was declared dead on arrival at the James Gordon Memorial Hospital, where car driver Jayson Peralta and Jimenez were also taken for treatment of injuries.
