MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics police officers seized 150 grams of shabu with a street value of P1.02 million in Panglao, Bohol on Thursday, the Central Visayas police reported yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, police regional director, said the illegal drugs were recovered from a 20-year-old man tagged earlier as a high-profile suspect in the illegal drug trade in the region.
“The success of the drug bust operation is a result of our intelligence-based operations aimed at effectively combating all forms of criminality in the region,” Aberin said in a statement.
Aberin said the suspect, whom he did not identify, was apprehended in a sting in Barangay Looc at around 11:59 p.m.
