MANILA, Philippines — East Zone concessionaire Manila Water Co. Inc. (Manila Water) said it would complete the P47-million pipe replacement project along EDSA-Guadalupe by the fourth quarter.
Manila Water said it is replacing an old 500-millimeter (mm) water mainline along the southbound lane of EDSA Guadalupe in preparation for the Department of Transportation’s EDSA Greenways elevated walkway project.
The pipe would be upgraded to a “more robust” 600-mm steel pipe and connected to the existing 500-mm steel pipe in the same area, Manila Water said.
The water utility firm started its pipeline replacement project in July 2023.
