MANILA, Philippines — A police officer caught on video allegedly threatening a truck driver during a traffic dispute in Rizal, has been sacked from his post.
Rizal police director Col. Felipe Maraggun yesterday said the officer was disarmed and placed under restrictive custody at the Morong municipal police.
Maraggun clarified that the incident occurred on June 16 along a road in Antipolo.
The policeman was headed home on a motorcycle when a 16-wheeler truck cut him.
In the video, the lawman, who was in civilian clothes, was seen holding his firearm and standing beside his motorcycle. He appeared to be blocking the truck driver.
