MANILA, Philippines — A police officer was caught on video allegedly threatening a motorist during a traffic dispute in Teresa, Rizal on Tuesday.

Gov. Nina Ricci Ynares ordered Rizal police director Col. Felipe Maraggun to investigate the incident that occurred along a road leading to Antipolo.

“I condemn the incident. We don’t tolerate incidents like this,” Ynares said in a statement.

The unidentified policeman, who is reportedly assigned at the Morong police station, was wearing civilian clothes.

A 31-second viral video showed the policeman holding a gun and standing beside a motorcycle. He appeared to be blocking the motorist.

Ynares said she would personally monitor the progress of the investigation and the corresponding sanctions that would be imposed against the policeman.
