MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring rains over areas in the western part of the country today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA said the western sections of Southern Tagalog and the Visayas will be rainy, while scattered rains are expected over Palawan as well as in Bangsamoro region, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos) and Zamboanga peninsula.
The monsoon will also bring isolated rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and Western Visayas as well as in Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and Zambales.
