3 Calabarzon cop chiefs relieved for command responsibility

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three chiefs of police in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and 36 intelligence officers have been relieved from their posts due to command responsibility and irregularities in the performance of duties, respectively.

Lt. Col. Tyrone de Guzman, chief of the San Pedro police in Laguna was replaced by Lt. Col. Jaime Pederio Jr., who was designated as officer-in-charge.

Lt. Col. Reynaldo Reyes, chief of the Lucena police in Quezon province, was replaced by Lt. Col. William Angway Jr.

Lt. Col. Jesus Lintag, chief of the San Juan police in Batangas was replaced by Rommel Sobrido.

The three police officials are facing administrative cases based on the doctrine of command responsibility following alleged infractions committed by their men.

Among the police officers who were relieved from their posts were 12 from the Imus police in Cavite and eight each from Lucena in Quezon, Calamba in Laguna and San Juan in Batangas.
