MANILA, Philippines — A Vietnamese woman took off her clothes at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) on June 8 after an immigration officer asked her to pay a fine for overstaying in the country.
The woman, who was supposed to board a flight for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, walked up to the final security checkpoint in full view of departing passengers, security personnel and airport employees.
NAIA-3 security personnel said the woman was pacified, dressed and brought to the airport clinic by Cebu Pacific ground staff and employees of the Manila International Airport Authority, which runs the NAIA-3.
The woman remained at the clinic overnight and was reportedly treated for a psychological disorder. She later paid the fine and was flown back to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam the next day.
