MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P6.9 million was seized by anti-narcotics agents in Cebu City on Sunday.
The illegal substance was seized from drug suspects, identified as alias Janjan and alias Cathy, following a sting in Barangay Carreta, according to Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, Central Visayas police director.
Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspects.
On the same day, operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) seized shabu worth P374,000 in San Fernando, Pampanga.
The sting in Barangay San Agustin also resulted in the arrest of Ercel Macabanti and Princess Tandoc, according to PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta.
