MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has asked the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to place on its lookout list a Chinese man who was arrested for alleged possession of communication hacking devices in Makati last week.

Yuhang Liu was apprehended by the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Barangay San Isidro.

“We requested the BI to put Liu in its lookout bulletin to prevent him from fleeing the country as some charges filed against him are bailable,” PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said.

Liu yielded several gadgets and electronic equipment such as an antenna system, battery units, a solar inverter, a radio receiver and transmitter, a router, computer tablet, laptop and cell phones.

The PNP also tapped the National Telecommunications Commission’s help to assist in the probe regarding the equipment seized from the Chinese suspect.

Liu has denied spying for China.
