2 die in Luzon road mishaps

MANILA, Philippines — Two people died in separate motorcycle accidents that occurred in Pangasinan and Kalinga on Sunday.

Carlito Quinan, 39, was declared dead on arrival at the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos, where his passengers – Delmark Nara, 19, and a minor ­– were also taken for treatment of injuries.

Police said Quinan and his companions were traveling in Barangay Ranao in Bani town when their motorcycle crashed into a tree.

Meanwhile, Eric Caldingon was thrown several meters away after his motorcycle rearended a car in Tabuk City.

Probers said Caldingon died while being treated at the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.
