MANILA, Philippines — The relatives of a family driver who was killed during a road rage incident along the EDSA-Ayala tunnel in Makati yesterday vowed to pursue the murder case filed against the suspect.

Mark Mateo, son of the 65-year-old victim, said they would not settle out of court.

Gerrard Raymund Yu is being held on murder charges.

“I will pursue (the case) so that he will rot in prison,” Mateo told ABS-CBN News.

After the suspect underwent inquest proceedings on Friday, Yu appealed to the public not to judge him.

Mateo denounced Yu’s appeal.

“After he killed my father, he will say he is a good person,” Mateo declared.

Yu allegedly shot dead the victim, who was in a Toyota Innova with a housemaid and a seven-year-old Filipino-Japanese boy.
