MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P14 million was recovered at a police checkpoint in Calinan district in Davao City on Wednesday.

Members of Task Force Davao Explosives and Ordnance Division who secured the area confirmed that the box contained shabu.

Brig. Gen. Aligre Martinez, Davao police director, assured the public that the campaign against illegal drugs in the region would continue to be relentless.

Three “high-value” suspects identified only as Abul, Norodin and Noraidah were apprehended in Barangay Tayuman in Binangonan, Rizal on Friday for possession of shabu worth P3.4 million, according to the Calabarzon police.

Meanwhile, two people were caught with 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000 in Taytay.

An alias Sutro and a certain Delfin were apprehended when policemen raided a suspected gambling den in Barangay San Juan. — Ed Amoroso
