MANILA, Philippines — The ninth most wanted fugitive in Quezon City was arrested by policemen on Friday afternoon.

Elmer Boca, 48, was collared by operatives of the Quezon City Police District in Barangay Batasan at around 5:30 p.m., QCPD director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said.

Maranan said the basis for Boca’s apprehension is a warrant of arrest issued by a Quezon City court for the charge of qualified rape by sexual assault.

Boca was among the three wanted persons apprehended by police in Quezon City on Friday.

The other suspects are Juan Fidel Talag, 37, and Dennis Pasiluna, 26, who have warrants of arrest for violation of Batas Pambansa 22 or the Bouncing Checks Law and Republic Act 10883, also known as the New Anti-Carnapping Law.

The courts that issued the warrants of arrest were informed of the fugitives’ capture.
