MANILA, Philippines — In observance of International Thyroid Awareness Week, the Makati government is offering free thyroid function testing to yellow cardholders and their dependents starting today.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Abby Binay said those who want to avail themselves of the service should get a request form from health centers in the barangays.

For blood extraction, they may go to the Makati Health Department Central Laboratory and the satellite laboratories at the Kasilawan Health Center, Palanan Primary Care Facility and the Bangkal Health Center.

The laboratories are open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Binay reminded residents to regularly have checkups to ensure good health.
