MANILA, Philippines — Train trips at the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) became limited yesterday as workers addressed an “electrical fault.”
The rail line’s private operator, Light Rail Manila Corp., implemented “limited operations,” which meant trains ran only from the FPJ (formerly Roosevelt) to Gil Puyat stations and vice versa, the LRMC said in an advisory.
The limited operations, which left the LRT-1’s Libertad, EDSA and Baclaran stations closed to commuters, lasted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During this period, the rail line’s engineering personnel “worked on the electrical fault at Baclaran station.”
Full-line operations of the LRT-1, or trips from the FPJ to Baclaran stations and back, resumed at 12:40 p.m., the LRMC said.
