P1.24 million shabu seized in Ormoc, Ilocos Sur

MANILA, Philippines —  Anti-narcotics agents seized shabu with an estimated street value of P1.24 million in Ormoc City and Santa, Ilocos Sur on Wednesday.

At least 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000 were recovered from ”high-value” suspect Arnold Tumulak in a sting in Barangay Linao at around 2:30 p.m., Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group director Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said.

In Santa, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Aniceta Ustari and her husband Michael for alleged possession of shabu worth P560,000 and a .45-caliber handgun.

Complaints of drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms were filed against the suspects.
