Holidays set in 7 Philippine areas
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in various areas in the country that are and will be celebrating their foundation days and festivals.
Today is a special non-working day in Pulilan, Bulacan for the celebration of the Kneeling Carabao Festival. The holiday is contained in Proclamation 540.
Tomorrow is a holiday in Sariaya and Tayabas in Quezon, which will celebrate Agawan and Mayohan festivals, respectively, as well as in Calauan in Laguna for the Pinya Festival.
The Sariaya, Calauan and Tayabas holidays are declared under Proclamations 537, 538 and 541, respectively.
Malacañang also issued Proclamation 534, declaring May 23 a special non-working day in Calaca, Batangas, for the observance of the birth anniversary of Gen. Eleuterio Marasigan, one of the leaders of the Libertarian Movement.
Proclamation 532 declared May 22 as a special non-working day in Gingoog, Misamis Oriental for the celebration of the Lubi-Lubi Festival.
Proclamation 535 declared May 24 a special non-working day in Trece Martires, Cavite for the commemoration of the city’s founding anniversary.
