MANILA, Philippines — Some roads in Sta. Cruz, Manila were closed to traffic yesterday after a dump truck dragged down posts at the corner of Ronquillo and F. Torres streets.

The dump truck, with license plate NGM 4563 and driven by John Mark Valisto Sese, 43, was travelling westbound along Ronquillo street at around 3:40 a.m., according to a report from the Manila Police District (MPD).

The top of the truck, which reportedly carried aggregates, had snagged the wires and knocked down the posts, blocking the intersection.

Personnel from two telecommunications companies rushed to replace the four fallen posts.

Sese allegedly tried to run away but was caught by MPD police officers, according to radio reports.
