720 graduate from Caloocan’s livelihood training program
MANILA, Philippines — At least 720 people from Caloocan can now start job-hunting after graduating from the free livelihood training program of the city manpower training center.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan said the graduates were from various vocational training courses offered by the city government such as computer operations, automotive servicing, cosmetics, culinary science and electrical wiring installation and repair. They also received livelihood kits to help kickstart their own career.
Malapitan commended the city’s public employment service office for their response to the local government’s advocacy of creating more opportunities for their constituents to earn decent, honest and adequate income.
Apart from the free training program, Malapitan assured constituents the city government is eyeing more jobs for vulnerable sectors such as persons with disability, senior citizens and solo parents.
