Malabon holds Tambobong Indakan Festival
MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Malabon yesterday held the second Tambobong Indakan festival, which promotes the rich and colorful culture of the city.
The festival featured the talents, skills, creativity and coordination of 23 groups of students from different schools and local government departments. It is part of celebrations of Malabon’s 425th foundation day.
The street dance competition started with a parade from Malabon National High School in Barangay Hulong Duhat to the Malabon Sports Complex.
They performed interpretative, ethnic, and contemporary dance performances they prepared for the competition. The performers were judged based on their concept, choreography, creativity, execution, costume and props.
To ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the parade, the city government implemented a road rerouting scheme as Gen. Luna street was closed for the event. Medical and water stations were also placed in different areas for the participants in need.
