P20.4 million shabu seized in Lapu-Lapu
MANILA, Philippines — Two women listed as ”high-value” suspects in the illegal drug trade were arrested for alleged possession of shabu worth P20.4 million in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on Wednesday night.
Identified only by their aliases of Gaga and Eng-Eng, the two were apprehended after selling shabu to police officers who posed as buyers in Barangay Basak at 10:17 p.m.
Central Visayas police director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin said three kilos of shabu were confiscated from the suspects.
Aberin said the suspects have been under surveillance for drug peddling in Cebu province.
In Zamboanga del Sur, five people, four of them minors, were taken into custody during a raid on a suspected drug den in Purok Upper Lumboy in Barangay Tuburan in Pagadian City.
The operator of the drug den was identified as Flor Espinosa, according to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga del Sur police director Maharani Gadaoni-Tusoc.
