3,288 Malabon kids get polio vaccines

MANILA, Philippines —  At least 3,288 children in Malabon have received oral polio vaccines as part of the supplemental immunization program of the Department of Health.

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval spearheaded the activity, which commenced with the vaccination of 44 children in Barangay Panghulo on Monday.

According to city health department officer-in-charge Bernadette Bordador, the oral polio vaccine-supplemental immunization activity will be conducted at various venues in the city, including barangay health centers and malls until May 15.

Health workers will also administer oral polio vaccines door-to-door.
