P7 million shabu, P3 million marijuana seized
MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated value of P7 million was confiscated in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Friday.
Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, Central Visayas police director, said the illegal drugs were recovered from a 42-year-old man who was arrested in a sting in Barangay Tiptip.
Aberin did not identify the suspect, said to be one of the most wanted drug dealers in Bohol, who was also found in possession of a submachine gun.
He said the suspect can sell up to two kilos of shabu per month.
In La Union, joint police and anti-narcotics agents arrested seven people in Barangay Antonino in Balaoan for alleged possession of 25 kilos of marijuana worth P3 million.
Police identified the suspects, said to be ”high-value targets,” as Romualdo Sayarto, 26; Jerome Pakingan, 27; Ramir Pabustan, 40; John Eric Rejis, 38; Rizza Geronimo, 42; Anthony Pantoja, 42, and Jeffrey Bao-an.
The suspects also reportedly yielded a 9mm submachine gun, a 5.56 mm rifle, bullets and two cell phones.
In Cagayan de Oro, Kenjie Achas, 24, was arrested for alleged possession of 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000 in Barangay Bugo at 3 a.m. yesterday.
Police said Achas is among the most wanted drug suspects in Misamis Oriental.
