SPD nabs 6 fugitives
MANILA, Philippines — The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested six fugitives in separate operations on Friday.
In Taguig, drug suspect Kim Wilson Dizon, 33, identified as the city’s seventh most wanted person, was caught in Barangay Sun Valley in Parañaque at past 9 a.m.
The SPD said Dizon was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 266 Judge Marivic Vitor.
In Pasay, Symon Cunanan – reported to be the city’s fourth most wanted fugitive – was arrested in Barangay 98 at past 1 p.m.
According to the SPD, Cunanan was apprehended on the strength of a warrant issued by Pasay Regional Trial Court Judge Sampao-Hassimina for rape.
In a separate operation, authorities arrested Taguig’s third most wanted fugitive in Baliwag, Bulacan at around 12:55 p.m.
Fernando Martin, 67, is facing a statutory rape case before the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 with no recommended bail.
In Las Piñas, three fugitives were caught in separate operations.
Mark Jayson de Mesa, 30, was arrested in Barangay Talon Tres on charges of lascivious conduct and sexual abuse. He was listed as the city’s eighth most wanted fugitive.
Judge Mildred Marquez of the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 2 set bail at P800,000.
Another man listed as the sixth most wanted fugitive in the city was also apprehended by police in Barangay CAA.
The 32-year-old suspect, identified by the SPD as Win, was arrested for car theft.
Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 275 Judge Phoeve Meer set bail at P300,000.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man, described as the city’s fifth most wanted fugitive, was arrested for rape.
The suspect, identified only as Vince, was arrested in Barangay Pamplona at around 2:30 p.m.
He was the subject of a warrant dated Feb. 26 with no recommended bail.
