CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A man was killed while his wife was wounded in a shooting in Antipolo City, Rizal on Wednesday night.

Antonious Lazaro, 48, and his wife Grace were on a motorcycle when they were shot along Sumulong Highway in Barangay Mayamot at 6 p.m., Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, Calabarzon police director, said.

Lazaro died at the scene. His wife suffered a gunshot wound in the leg and is recuperating in a hospital.

Lucas ordered a manhunt for the gunmen, who reportedly fled toward Masinag.

“I have ordered an in-depth investigation to identify the suspects and the possible motives,” he said in a statement.
