CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three teenage boys tagged in a carnapping case have escaped from a facility of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Alfonso, Cavite on Friday.
Police have launched a manhunt for the fugitives, who were among children in conflict with the law detained at the Bahay Kalinga in Barangay Poblacion 5.
The boys destroyed the steel gate of the facility, according to Jonathan de Castro, houseparent of the Bahay Kalinga.
The mother of one of the teenagers reported to the police that her son and his fellow detainees had escaped from the custody of the social worker.
