MANILA, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher died after he jumped from a window when he resisted arrest in Davao City on Tuesday night.

Police said an alias Inda and his companion Faizal Ampalani punched a policeman who tried to arrest them at a hotel in Barangay 3-A, leaving the law enforcer unconscious.

When other members of a police team barged into the room, the suspects jumped from the window.

The two were taken to the Southern Philippines Medical Center, where Inda was declared dead on arrival.

Ampalani is under observation and will undergo an operation.

The suspects were allegedly found in possession of 32.23 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P219,164.

Meanwhile, police confiscated shabu valued at P476,000 from a certain Ameer, said to have links with the Dawlah Islamiya, in Barangay Dilimbayan in Maguing, Lanao del Sur.

Junry Montilla and Ronnie Simplicio, who were arrested in Barangay Bancasi in Butuan City, reportedly yielded shabu worth P6.8 million.
