MANILA, Philippines — A 43-year-old woman was gunned down in Parañaque City on Thursday night, reportedly by a former military reservist.
The victim, identified by the Southern Police District only as Yolanda, was shot dead in front of a coffee shop in Barangay San Dionisio at around 6:30 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that Yolanda and her two sons were about to board their car when a man, identified by the SPD as Cafgu, approached them.
The 40-year-old suspect allegedly shot the victim repeatedly before fleeing the scene.
Yolanda was declared dead on arrival at the Olivarez General Hospital.
A manhunt is underway for the suspect, who remains at large.
