Alleged illegal recruiter nabbed in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — A man wanted for large-scale illegal recruitment was arrested in Pasay City on Friday, according to the Southern Police District.

The suspect, identified only as Jamil, 59, was served an arrest warrant issued by Dagupan, Pangasinan Regional Trial Court Branch 42 Judge Dorothy Alarcon-Padilla in January 2021 for illegal recruitment. She refused to grant bail.

According to the SPD, the suspect is being held at the Pasay City police station’s custodial facility while the court is notified of his arrest.
