MANILA, Philippines — A village watchman was gunned down in Lipa City, Batangas on Wednesday night.
Jason Gangga, 44, was in a tricycle with his wife when an alias Jonel, who tailed them, opened fire in Barangay Balintawak, police said.
The gunman was arrested in a follow-up operation in Barangay Bolbok. He reportedly yielded a caliber .357 pistol.
In Bulacan, Noli Ramos and Pascual Aquino, village watchmen in Barangay Sta. Ines in San Miguel town, were patrolling the barangay when they were shot.
The two were taken to the Emmanuel Vera Hospital in San Miguel for treatment. Ramos was later transferred to another hospital in Nueva Ecija.
