Man held for ‘sextortion’ try on ex-girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines —  A man who allegedly exposed in public his sex video with his former girlfriend was arrested in Navotas City on Tuesday.

Genesis Bautista, 43, was apprehended by members of the police Anti-Cybercrime Group in an entrapment operation in Barangay Tangos North at around 4:15 p.m.

Bautista’s arrest was based on the complaint of his ex-girlfriend, who told probers the suspect sent their sex videos to her husband.

The suspect also posted the videos on Facebook, but he later deleted the recording.

The victim confronted Bautista, but the suspect said he would only delete the videos if she would personally meet up with him.

The suspect was collared by police along M. Naval street. Seized from him were his cell phone and his identification cards.

Bautista is being held on charges of grave coercion and violation of Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Law in
relation to RA 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
