MANILA, Philippines — Three people were injured after a fire engulfed a house in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City on Wednesday.
The fire broke out at a two-story house in Barangay 176 at around 9:45 a.m. and reached the first alarm, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)’s National Capital Region field office.
Arson investigators said the fire originated in a bedroom on the first floor of the house.
Firefighters doused the blaze at around 10:25 a.m.
First-aid responders treated Nancy Belangel, 24; Joseph Gale, 44, and Julie Belangel, 67, for lacerations, burns and fractures.
The BFP said two families, consisting of 12 people, were displaced in the fire.
The cause of the fire, which destroyed P80,000 worth of property, is being investigated.
