MANILA, Philippines — Three people were injured in a fire that razed a residential building in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday.
The victims, all men aged 20 to 35, were treated for burns, lacerations and difficulty in breaking by first-aid responders. No one was reported killed in the fire.
The fire in a three-story building in Barangay Hulo started at around 1:02 p.m. and reached first alarm, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)’s National Capital Region field unit said in a report.
Arson probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which was doused by firefighters at around 2:09 p.m.
Barangay officials went to the area and provided relief assistance to the affected families.
Grass fire
In Pasay, a grass fire erupted along Macapagal Boulevard before dawn yesterday.
The BFP said the fire started at around 3:20 a.m. and was put out at 3:47 a.m.
Five BFP trucks responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
