Man held for child rape
MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Quezon City on Tuesday.
The suspect, a 37-year-old resident of Barangay Tandang Sora, was caught while with the victim at the parking area of a building in Barangay Pinyahan at around 8:30 a.m.
Prior to the incident, the suspect and the victim were accompanying their respective patients confined in a hospital along East Avenue.
The victim told police investigators that the suspect invited her for breakfast.
The girl agreed and went with the suspect, who then brought her to the parking lot.
A security guard caught the suspect abusing the girl.
The suspect was brought to the Kamuning police station, where he is detained on charges of rape and child abuse.
