SM Foundation renovates Air Force City Hospital anew
CLARK CITY, Philippines — Following the renovation of the outpatient department of the Air Force City Hospital in 2022, SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI) has renovated the lounge, administrative area, emergency room and radiology department of the hospital.
SMFI executive director for health and wellness program Connie Angeles turned over to Lt. Col. Darwin Farnacio, commanding officer of the hospital, the completed facility in a simple ceremony.
First Lt. Princess Carag of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Administrative Corps said the area is a “challenge to the medical corps to render exceptional service to those who avail themselves of the medical services of the hospital, which include not only the military but also their dependents, civilians and indigent Aetas.”
“The atmosphere is conducive to early detection and recovery. While previously there was no waiting area, now we even have a reading room where patients can wait for their turn either for consultation or for x-ray or ultrasound,” Carag said.
The health center is the 202nd health facility completed by SMFI. It had earlier renovated health facilities in the major service branches of the AFP and Philippine National Police.
