MANILA, Philippines — Two persons died when a motorcycle crashed into the railings along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City on Sunday.

Probers said the victims came from Agham Road on board a Honda Click 125 motorcycle and made a left turn to Quezon Avenue in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa when the mishap occurred at around 1:15 p.m.

The victims crashed into the railings and fell to the Quezon Avenue underpass.

The driver, whom police investigators said was about 30 to 40 years old, died at the scene.

A rescue team from the Metropolitan Development Authority rushed the back rider, 37-year-old Peter Paul Navarro, to the East Avenue Medical Center for medical treatment.

However, doctors pronounced Navarro dead on arrival.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
