MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) yesterday reported improvement in crime clearance and crime solution efficiency in 2023.

During flag-raising rites at Camp Karingal, QCPD director Redrico Maranan said crime clearance efficiency increased by 10.47 percent while crime solution efficiency went up by 5.44 percent, highlighting the district’s effectiveness in filing charges against criminals and resolving crimes.

Cases of eight focus crimes dropped by 5.75 percent, showcasing the efficiency of the enhanced police presence, a three-minute response time and community engagement initiatives implemented by the QCPD.

The eight focus crimes are murder, homicide, physical injury, robbery, rape, theft, car and motorcycle theft.

Crime statistics showed a significant stride in the district’s commitment to ensuring the safety of Quezon City residents, the QCPD said.

Maranan lauded the QCPD personnel, saying the positive results are a testament to their commitment to public service.
