MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government opened a satellite pharmacy on Friday for residents of the 10 enlisted men’s barrio or “embo” barangays that are now under its jurisdiction.

“Residents may avail (from the pharmacy) free medicine prescribed by telemedicine consultations,” Taguig said in a statement.

“They may also avail free maintenance medicines if they have prescriptions in the last three months,” it added.

The satellite pharmacy, located on the second floor of Genesis Building along J.P. Rizal Extension in Barangay East Rembo, is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to the city government, the satellite pharmacy also accepts Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and medical assistance applications from “embo” residents.

This pronouncement came a few days after Makati announced the closure of its health facilities in the “embo” barangays due to expired licenses to operate.
