MANILA, Philippines — A police manhunt is underway for two people who killed a 21-year-old man in Quezon City on Tuesday night.
The victim, Alvin Cabrera, was sitting on his motorcycle along Bulusan street in Barangay Salvacion when he was gunned down at around 11:15 p.m.
Probers said two men on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed with a handgun, shot Cabrera twice.
Based on closed-circuit television footages shown over GMA News, the assailants drove around the area for several minutes before they attacked the victim.
Cabrera was dead when barangay public safety officers arrived in the area after they were informed by residents about the gunshots.
Investigators retrieved two bullet casings at the scene of the shooting.
Cabrera, a resident of Pasay City, was identified through his driver’s license.
Police said they recovered a cell phone, P1,570 in cash and two sachets of suspected shabu from the victim’s possession.
Police are searching for leads to determine the suspects’ identities and their motive.
