MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Marikina will get to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a free concert, courtesy of the city government.

Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said the concert will be held at the Marikina Sports Center on Dec. 31.

The concert, which will start at around 3 p.m., will feature artists such as Arthur Miguel, Gigi de Lana and the Mayonnaise band.

“Libre ito at imbitado ang lahat (It’s free and everyone is invited),” Teodoro said in a Facebook post.

Three years after the COVID pandemic, the city government will also bring back its fireworks display to welcome the new year.
